This project mines 10-K and 10-Q filings for language signaling AI and sustainable-technology investment, then tests whether that language predicts subsequent stock performance. Firms increasingly disclose AI adoption and ESG-linked technology spending in mandatory filings; the question is whether the market has already priced that information in, or whether disclosure patterns carry forward-looking signal.

The analysis pipeline extracts investment-related language from filing text and links it to firm-level returns and volatility over subsequent quarters, building on a related stream of work (linked below) examining how AI-driven and green-technology investment interact to shape upside and downside risk.
